iPad Pick Up
All SJMS students who have an iPad at the school will be allowed to take the device home. Pick-up times will be Tuesday through Friday from (9:00-11:00 a.m. and in the afternoon from 1:00 -3:00 p.m.) Please be prepared to identify the grade level home base teacher who maintains the device for your child. You can expect work starting Thursday, March 19th for each course on Schoology. More information will follow as it becomes available.
If your middle and high school student is currently without an iPad and they do not have another technology item to work from, please call the technology department at 304-348-6116 and make arrangements to pick up the device. Due to the time it takes to set one up, we ask that you do not show up without calling first. We will get it set up ahead of time so that you can just stop in and pick it up.
Accessing the Internet from Home on School iPad
You must follow these steps every 24 hours to have internet access at home.
FamilyCare School-Based Health Centers
Students, families, and staff of Capital High School/Stonewall Jackson Middle School:
Please note that during this time of school closures, our FamilyCare School-Based Health Centers at the schools will also be closed. We do want to continue to accommodate services for both Behavioral Health and Medical needs for the schools' students and staff at both schools, however. Our School-Based Staff will be offering services at the Patrick Street office of FamilyCare in the interim. You may reach this office at 304-720-4466 to schedule an appointment with either Derrick Gibson (therapy) or Dawn Grigsby (medical needs). We hope everyone is staying healthy and safe during this uncertain and unsettling time.
Lunch is being served between 11 am and noon. Please pick up lunches through the back-alley entrance cafeteria door. Please do not enter the building.
All sports, including practices, are cancelled until further notice. Coaches will keep you updated when new information becomes available.
